Québec Premier Jean Charest and federal Minister of Industry Christian Paradis participate in the inauguration of the C2MI in Bromont
Quebec City, 31 juillet 2012 — Québec Premier Jean Charest and federal Minister of Industry Christian Paradis today participated, along with MNA of Brome-Missisquoi Pierre Paradis and senior executives from founding partners IBM, Teledyne DALSA and the Université de Sherbrooke, in the inauguration of the MiQro Innovation Collaborative Centre (C2MI) located in the Bromont Technology Park.
In 2009, the Premier announced $94.9 million in financial assistance for the Université de Sherbrooke from the Québec government under the Knowledge Infrastructure Program (KIP) to carry out this project, worth an estimated $218.45 million. The federal government granted $82.95 million in financial assistance under the KIP. The founding industrial partners and equipment suppliers contributed $40.6 million.
