JUNIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST

Job Description
Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Junior Financial Analyst will be responsible for compiling, reconciling, forecasting, and analyzing the financial data of the company’s internal development projects. The role primarily focuses on tracking expenses, hours, and capital assets. This position involves close interaction with senior management and the leaders of our strategic projects.
Responsibilities
- Produce monthly or quarterly reporting for internal development and investment projects.
- Ensure that project revenues and costs comply with contractual requirements and eligibility criteria for subsidized expenses.
- Analyze monthly project management reports and reconcile them with actual costs recorded in the general ledger.
- Support strategic project managers in proactive financial planning to optimize the allocation of expenses.
- Assist the Financial Controller with the monthly analysis of expenses related to partnership agreements and process transactions according to the terms of those agreements.
- Assist the Financial Controller in the accounting and control of capital assets.
- Prepare annual audit files related to internal development and investment projects.
- Provide support to accounting technicians as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
- Member of the Québec CPA Order (asset)
- 1–3 years of experience (asset)
- Bilingual in French (10/10) and English (8/10), written and spoken, as documents from funding agencies and key stakeholders are in English
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel
- Knowledge of NetSuite software (asset)
- Experience in a high-technology manufacturing environment (asset)
- Experience in a non-profit environment or in grant management (asset)
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills
- Rigorous, organized, detail-oriented
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
