We are currently looking for a creative, meticulous individual with a passion for engineering to join our team as an Assembly Process Engineer.

Reporting to the Technical Director, you will play a central role in the development, optimisation and characterisation of assembly processes for complex microelectronics components. Your work will contribute directly to the technological and commercial success of our clients’ projects, both here and internationally.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

Among other things, you will be required to:

  • Carry out, supervise and characterise assembly processes in accordance with mandates entrusted to C2MI by its clients or partners
    (e.g. component placement, alignment of optical fibres and lasers, cutting of semiconductor wafers)
  • Document all developed processes to ensure traceability and reproducibility
  • Master the use and programming of assembly equipment
  • Prioritise projects based on equipment availability, resources and client deadlines
  • Participate in the development of bespoke tools tailored to assembly processes
  • Provide relevant data on quality, costs and cycle times to clients and partners to support their business decisions
  • Undertake any other related tasks assigned by your line manager, within your area of expertise

 

REQUIRED PROFILE

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, physics, chemical engineering or another field deemed equivalent
  • Experience in technical project management is an advantage
  • Excellent spoken and written English (international client base)
  • Team spirit, independence and a proactive approach
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities (troubleshooting)

 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in microelectronics
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of materials science/metallurgy
  • Proficiency in assembly equipment (chip placement, encapsulation, thermal profiling, solder ball placement, wire bonding, etc.)
