Mrs. Marie-Josée Turgeon first joined C2MI in October 2016 as Vice-President, Business Development. In August 2018, she was then assigned the role of Vice President of Operations and Deputy General Manager. As of March 2021, Marie-Josée acts as General Manager. Her job is to oversee the center’s operations and facilitate the fulfillment of the various requests from C2MI’s partners and customers.
For more than 20 years, Marie-Josée has worked in the manufacturing field of microelectronics, having worked for IBM Bromont in several sectors, among others as a process engineer, manager of manufacturing, manager of engineering groups, manager of the accounting sector and accounts payable before being appointed business unit manager where she was responsible for several technical and manufacturing teams. She continued her career as plant manager for Varitron company, located in Granby, where she had full responsibility for the management of operations, human resources, and financial resources on site. Throughout her career, Marie-Josée has been and continues to be involved in the promotion of science to young girls in high school through various activities, most recently with the Chair for Women in Science and engineering from the Université de Sherbrooke.
Marie-Josée holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Université Laval and a MBA from Université de Sherbrooke.
