Our CEO, Marie-Josée Turgeon, was invited to represent Canada’s expertise in semiconductor manufacturing and quantum technologies at the G7 Semiconductor Point of Contact Group Stakeholder Forum, held in Markham, Canada, in the spring and in Dresden, Germany, in the autumn.

In November 2025, C2MI inaugurated its infrastructure expansion and announced historic investments! The governments of Canada and Quebec confirmed the following investments to strengthen C2MI’s capabilities in advanced assembly, quantum technologies and eco-responsible processes:

$125 million for the purchase of equipment for advanced assembly technologies on 200 mm and 300 mm wafers.
$20 million for the acquisition of manufacturing equipment positioning C2MI as the world’s first open foundry for superconducting quantum chips.
$3 million to support our eco-responsible initiatives for the semiconductor industry.

This support consolidates C2MI’s role at the heart of semiconductor supply chains and in the development of tomorrow’s technologies.

Following the national announcement of Canada’s first-ever Defence Industrial Strategy, the Member of Parliament for Brome-Missisquoi, confirmed $1.6 million in federal funding through Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions to accelerate structural initiatives in optics and photonics at C2MI, while consolidating Bromont’s unique technological capabilities as a key hub of innovation serving the country’s security and prosperity.
