JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Vice-President Finance, the Accounting Technician will be responsible for supporting the Controller and the Vice-President Finance in the growth of C2MI’s activities in Quebec and Canada. The person will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, processing purchase requisitions and sales invoices to customers, as well as supporting the Finance team on an ad hoc basis.
- Process accounts payable transactions, including recording invoices in accounting software and preparing payments to suppliers;
- Analyze expenses and record accruals for missing invoices;
- Process accounts receivable transactions, including recording cash receipts, releasing invoices, uploading to customer portals and sending statements;
- Analyze overdue accounts and follow up with customers;
- Prepare GST and QST reports;
- Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring;
- Assist the department in preparing month-end financial statements;
- Participate in reconciliation of month-end balance sheet items;
- Manage supplier and customer database;
- Review purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders;
- Support operations team for major projects.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- DEC in accounting preferred or DEP with significant experience;
- Minimum 3 years experience;
- Respect for confidentiality;
- Analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Good sense of planning and organization and strict adherence to deadlines;
- Collaborative spirit;
- Good judgment;
- Communication skills;
- Sense of ethics;
- Proficiency in Office tools;
- Proficiency in NetSuite software is an asset.
