JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the person in the position of Accounting Clerk will be responsible for supporting the finance team in growing C2MI’s operations in Quebec and across Canada. The individual will assist accounting technicians with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, processing purchase orders and customer invoices, as well as providing ad hoc support to the Finance team as needed.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Process accounts payable transactions, including entering invoices into the accounting software;
Process accounts receivable transactions, including recording payments received, releasing invoices, uploading data to client portals, and sending account statements;
Assist the department in preparing month-end financial statements;
Participate in the reconciliation of end-of-month balance sheet items;
Manage the supplier and customer database;
Review purchase requests and convert them into purchase orders;
Support the operations team on major projects.

 

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • DEP in accounting;
  • Experience is a plus;
  • Commitment to confidentiality;
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with a commitment to meeting deadlines;
  • Team player;
  • Good judgment;
  • Communication skills;
  • Strong sense of ethics;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
  • Proficiency with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Bilingual (French and English) in writing and speaking, as we have international suppliers and customers.
