POSITION DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Manager, Special Projects, the C2MI Senior IT Architect will be responsible for defining, managing, and evolving C2MI’s technological ecosystem, with a central focus on the multi-tenant collaborative IT network.

This collaborative network is a trusted infrastructure enabling C2MI partners to connect their corporate networks, access scientific equipment and fabrication areas, and carry out technology development activities in a secure, neutral, and compliant environment. Scientific equipment, as well as the EYELIT Manufacturing Execution System (MES), are integrated into this network, which serves as a central data and operations platform.

In this context, the incumbent acts as a neutral authority responsible for administering the collaborative network and MES. They ensure the right balance between accessibility, performance, information security, and the protection of partners’ intellectual property. The role ensures alignment, quality of deliverables, and coordination of subcontractors and stakeholders with C2MI’s vision, security requirements, and strategic objectives.

This position combines strong leadership, strategic IT vision, and deep technical expertise, particularly in data architecture and application systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

IT Governance and Leadership

  • Define the vision, orientations, and governance principles of C2MI’s collaborative IT network
  • Act as C2MI’s IT authority with partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Position C2MI as a trusted technology partner recognized for neutrality, security, and reliability

Multi-Enterprise Collaborative Network

  • Oversee the administration, evolution, and sustainability of the collaborative network
  • Define and maintain access, segmentation, and interconnection rules between:
    • partners
    • their corporate networks
    • scientific equipment
    • shared software tools
  • Ensure secure and controlled access to scientific infrastructure while protecting sensitive data and intellectual property
  • Collaborate with partners’ IT teams to support integration and operations

Information Security and Data Protection

  • Define and enforce IT security principles (segmentation, access control, logging, monitoring)
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices and contractual requirements
  • Implement secure data management mechanisms, including logical separation of environments and IP protection
  • Participate in IT risk analysis and recommend mitigation measures

MES Administration (EYELIT)

  • Act as the system administrator for the EYELIT MES
  • Lead implementation, configuration, evolution, and operations of the MES
  • Manage data structures, isolated environments, user access, and segregation rules
  • Collaborate with EYELIT and partners to meet operational, technological, and confidentiality needs

Data Architecture and Equipment Integration

  • Define and maintain data architecture from scientific equipment connected to the network
  • Ensure data availability, integrity, and consistency
  • Be actively involved in database structuring, management, and evolution (e.g., SQL)
  • Support integration of new equipment, software tools, and analytics platforms

IT Operations and Continuous Improvement

  • Oversee vendors and technology partners involved in IT infrastructure
  • Ensure documentation, robustness, and maintainability of IT systems
  • Analyze emerging needs and recommend improvements aligned with C2MI strategy
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT within complex or critical environments
  • Strong expertise in:
    • network architecture and IT security
    • databases and data structuring (e.g., SQL)
    • application systems and software integration
  • Experience with MES or industrial systems (strong asset)
  • Proven ability to manage multi-client or multi-tenant environments
  • Strong leadership, technical credibility, and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities (technical and non-technical audiences)
  • High level of autonomy, rigor, and accountability
  • Bilingualism (French/English, written and spoken), as key suppliers and subcontractors are English-speaking only (EYELIT)
  • Experience in high-tech, semiconductor, or laboratory environments (asset)
