JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced, organised individual with strong communication skills to join our team as a Technical Account Manager. The successful candidate will act as the day-to-day link between clients, their projects and the technical applications team. They will be responsible for detailed planning, updating documentation, communicating with internal teams and coordinating technical matters with the client. This role is at the heart of operations and ensures the smooth running, rigour and performance of the client and project portfolio. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Technical Director of the Microelectronic Assembly sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Client relations & technical communication: acting as the technical point of contact for a group of clients, analysing requests, preparing quotations, managing orders, attending client meetings, proactively communicating progress and managing expectations.
  • Planning & scheduling: managing detailed planning, optimising resources and making continuous adjustments. Communicating and negotiating with clients regarding manufacturing conditions (yield, throughput, defects, etc.)
  • Governance & project kick-off: setting up projects in internal systems, monitoring the arrival of materials and verifying clients’ work instructions (SOW).
  • Documentation & internal communication: setting up documentation and logistics to ensure parts are manufactured, updating documentation, communicating priorities, and producing progress reports.
  • Assessments & preparation: estimating effort and duration, and conducting risk analysis in collaboration with in-house experts.
  • Continuous improvement: operational support, process optimisation and problem-solving. Participation in internal meetings on continuous improvement and quality.
  • Undertaking any other tasks assigned by their line manager within their area of expertise.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, physical, electrical, biomedical or chemical engineering, materials science or any other related field
  • Certificate or diploma in project management (an advantage).
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in coordinating or managing technical projects.
  • Interpersonal skills: clear communication, diplomacy, expectation management, influential leadership, exemplary organisation, teamwork.
  • Technical skills: strong command of multi-project planning
  • Understanding of microelectronics assembly processes (an asset).
  • Administrative skills: understanding of cost structures and client quotation and engagement processes (an asset).
  • Experience in a manufacturing or technical environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of French and English (written and spoken) to communicate with international clients.
